Amazon Leadership & Strategic Principles

Under the guidance, support and mentoring of CLC’s team, Dr. Roxanne Athousaki, Aviation Aerospace and Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Mr. Alkiviadis Liampeys, BSc Economics and Finance, Master in Management Bocconi ’23, our students Salamoura Theodora, Tilemachou Marios, Stefanidis Aristidis, Pichion Erita, and Delikanakis Tasos carry out a research project about the Amazon’s strategic advantages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to the pandemic, Amazon was in a position of strength, with the e-commerce sector growing drastically in all of its aspects, from sales, headcount, web traffic, to stock price. In spite Covid’s devastating effects on individuals, organizations, societies, and the world as a whole, Amazon managed to sustain and grow its competitive position. The aim of this report is to explore how Amazon created a strategic advantage by adapting both effectively and efficiently its leadership principles during the COVID-19 pandemic.
