Library101: An Introduction to Databases

CLC’s team, led by Ms. Ageliki Pneumaticos, BSc Electrical and Computer Engineering NTUA, Masters Finance MIT, mentored and supervised our students Odysseas Kessentes, Maria-Vassiliki Droulia, Chrysoula-Irida Koutsona and Agelos Bousbouras to carry out a research project on the fundamental principles of databases.

The project aimed to cover key concepts such as the definition and purpose of databases, the use of Entity Relationship (ER) diagrams, and specific elements like foreign keys, tables, and indexing. Additionally, it involved the practical implementation of a dummy database named Library101 and included experiments with queries to enhance understanding of these topics.
