CLC’s team, led by Apostolos Gaitanis, MA Banking and Finance, University of St. Gallen, mentored and supervised our students, Fanis Papaspyrou, Alexandros Tangalakis, Loucas Maroulis, and Pavlos Efthymiadis, to carry out a research project on the challenges and the competitiveness factors in the green financing transition of Europe.
This paper examines the critical issues of European funding mechanisms in facilitating the Green Transition, analyzes the funding structure and financial challenges, and assesses the implications of these initiatives for Europe’s competitiveness.
